• Execute contractual obligations per customer requirements and daily site/hub activities • Maintain and operate electrical and mechanical equipment used in GE wind turbine generators • Apply knowledge of variable pitch and variable speed turbines and converter parts • Read, understand, and explain schematics, drawings, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations • Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety processes, regulations, and compliance requirements • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch and variable speed turbines • Support all areas of site operations as directed by the manager with minimal supervision • Perform diagnostic analysis and generate plans for timely resolution • Document work using computer-based service reporting procedures • Work with and respond to GE’s remote operations center when necessary • Mentor peers • Partner and communicate with the Site Lead and Manager to meet contract requirements and timelines
• High School Diploma / GED • Minimum of 4 years of wind trouble-shooting experience, and at least 1 year EHS, SQC, Lead role; OR minimum of 6 years of wind trouble-shooting experience; OR minimum of 3 years of wind trouble-shooting experience AND Bachelor's Degree in relevant field • Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment • Basic computer skills • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license • Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time • Ability to handle repetitive weight of 50 lbs. and climb towers up to 300 feet daily • Must meet and maintain specified manufacturer weight limits not exceeding 300 lbs. including required gear • Ability and willingness to work in industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities • Ability to prioritize work according to contract obligations • Ability and willingness to take initiative and work without direct supervision • Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules and on-call per site needs • Occasional overnights may be required per hub needs • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical, Electrical, or Electronics field from an accredited college or university (desired) • Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical / Electronic field (desired) • Wind turbine experience • Electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic experience • Experience using hydraulic power tools • Experience with heavy equipment for facility maintenance and working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
