📋 Description

• Provide onsite, unclassified ASL/English receptive and expressive simultaneous interpretation in varied settings, independently and in teams • Convey the thought, intent, and spirit of speakers to deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals • Interpret and transliterate expressively and receptively using manual and oral communication methods • Maintain confidentiality of information exchanged during interpreting situations • Communicate effectively by signing, orally, and in writing • Keep detailed and accurate records • Meet schedules and timelines

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced, accurate voicing skills for spoken English–ASL and ASL–spoken English interpretation • Familiarity with the terminology and provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) • Skills across a broad range of general interpreting assignments • General knowledge of specialized vocabulary, including medical terminology, supply chain management jargon, and business vernacular • At least one required certification: National Interpreter Certification (NIC), Certificate of Interpretation (CI), or Certificate of Transliteration (CT) • Ability to communicate by signing, orally, and in writing • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Ability to keep accurate records and meet schedules and timelines
