📋 Description

• Provision, scale, and optimize high-availability AWS infrastructure for production and non-production environments • Maintain, modularize, and expand AWS CDK infrastructure definitions to eliminate configuration drift • Design and maintain logging, metrics, and alerting frameworks such as AWS CloudWatch • Audit resource utilization to optimize cloud spending, application performance, and resilience • Design, build, and maintain CircleCI deployment pipelines integrating builds, tests, linting, and security scanning • Partner with software engineers to remove workflow friction and enable self-service application deployments • Manage and scale containerized applications using Docker and AWS container services such as ECS • Develop, document, and test disaster recovery and automated backup strategies • Implement network security controls including VPC design, security groups, and encryption • Enforce least-privilege AWS access through IAM roles, policies, and SSO configurations • Integrate SAST and dependency vulnerability scanning into CI/CD pipelines • Manage application secrets using AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store and AWS Secrets Manager • Collaborate with internal teams on compliance metrics, system-log reviews, and technical controls aligned with industry security standards

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience • 5+ years of professional experience across infrastructure, platform, operations, and security, including substantial hands-on time running production cloud environments • Deep production AWS experience preferred; equivalent mastery of GCP or Azure counts toward seniority if able to ramp quickly on a new cloud • Proven experience managing cloud systems via AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation • Strong scripting capability in TypeScript, Python, or Go, plus familiarity with bash • Deep understanding of modern software deployment strategies, including Blue/Green and Canary, and pipeline configuration • Practical understanding of cloud-native security, vulnerability management, least-privilege access, and network-layer protection • Ability to reason from first principles, learn unfamiliar systems quickly, and take ownership • Strong team player able to collaborate with software engineers, ministry stakeholders, and leadership • Ability to build strong cross-departmental relationships and work collectively toward the shared mission • Curiosity and eagerness to stay current with cloud technologies, security threats, and DevOps best practices • Only U.S.-based applicants will be considered • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. • Alignment with ExploreGod’s Statement of Faith is required • Resume and cover letter required
