📋 Description

• Lead GTI’s quality assurance and quality control function across its multi-state cultivation, manufacturing, and production network • Own QA/QC policies, standard operating procedures, and the quality management system • Build a culture of quality, food safety, sanitation, and compliance excellence across Cultivation, Extraction & Formulation, Production, Supply Chain, and Compliance • Develop and improve GMP, HACCP, sanitation, allergen management, and SPC quality programs • Define critical quality attributes, process controls, in-process testing, product specifications, and finished-goods release criteria • Administer the QualityOne / Veeva Vault electronic quality management system and oversee document, change, and version control • Direct sanitation and quality-control practices for cannabis products and oversee inspections, hold-and-release, and disposition of nonconforming material • Partner with analytical labs on potency, terpene, residual-solvent, pesticide, microbial, and heavy-metal testing; interpret COAs and drive corrective action for OOS results • Own NCR and OOS processes, lead root-cause analysis and CAPA, and support product complaint investigations • Track and trend NCR, OOS, complaint, and CAPA data to drive systemic process improvements • Ensure compliance with GTI procedures and municipal, state, and federal cannabis regulations • Serve as quality contact for regulators and inspectors, leading audit readiness and inspection response • Maintain quality-related traceability and recordkeeping in seed-to-sale systems such as METRC • Establish internal audit and supplier/vendor qualification programs • Pursue and maintain applicable SQF, ISO, and GMP certifications • Apply LEAN and quality tools to reduce variability, scrap, and rework • Lead geographically dispersed site Quality Managers through performance monitoring, feedback, and development • Provide quality performance updates, metrics, and risk escalations to operations and executive stakeholders • Travel up to 50% across the US

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Microbiology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; equivalent experience and tenure accepted • 10+ years of quality (QA/QC) operations experience in a highly regulated production organization in cannabis, food/beverage, pharmaceutical, or CPG • 7+ years of progressive leadership responsibility building and developing QA/QC processes, systems, and teams • Demonstrated command of GMP, HACCP, SPC, sanitation, and allergen-management programs • Root-cause analysis and CAPA methodology experience • Ability to interact with regulators and inspectors and interpret evolving state regulations • Ability to interpret COAs, potency data, and contaminant data and translate results into process and specification changes • Must pass any and all required background checks • Must remain compliant with legal and company regulations for working in the industry • Must possess a valid driver’s license • Must be at least 21 years of age • Must be approved by a state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry • Up to 50% travel across the US required

• Competitive pay range of $160,000–$185,000 USD • Potential eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance • Remote work arrangement
