• Serve as a technical expert for preroll manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices • Drive process optimization and support process development across manufacturing sites • Provide technical guidance on preroll processing methods, equipment, and techniques • Resolve technical issues, equipment malfunctions, and unexpected production challenges • Assess and improve processing methods for efficiency, cost effectiveness, and product quality • Recommend and implement process enhancements and automation • Assist with benchtop R&D studies, time studies, cycle-time analyses, and process audits • Manage and maintain electronic batch records across multiple sites and train site personnel • Train production teams on SOPs, best practices, safety protocols, and equipment operations • Develop training materials, educational resources, refresher workshops, and tech-transfer packages • Travel to underperforming sites for root-cause analysis and retraining • Facilitate weekly site meetings to review operational and quality data, identify process gaps, and implement corrective actions • Develop and improve corporate preroll SOPs, TAMUs, work aids, One-Point Lessons, and detailed work instructions • Support site-readiness documentation for product and process launches • Collect, analyze, and present preroll quality scorecard data and actionable performance insights • Follow safety, GMP, biosecurity, sanitation, PPE, and other compliance requirements at manufacturing facilities
• Associate’s in Science, Engineering, or related STEM discipline preferred • Extensive working knowledge of preroll manufacturing processes and processing equipment, including flower, infused, blunts, coated prerolls, and related products • Experience with preroll product development and expertise across preroll offerings • Experience innovating and commercializing preroll products within cannabis or hemp spaces • Experience in preroll production, including milling, infusing, filling, closing, painting, and packaging • Knowledge of cannabis/preroll market trends • Experience with manufacturing and lab equipment and processes in preroll development • Experience completing conversions, moving materials, and related functions in seed-to-sale tracking systems • Knowledge of laboratory and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) • Advanced math skills • Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for hazardous chemicals • Ability to plan, design experiments, and solve problems • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects • Ability to troubleshoot, fix, and service equipment and software independently • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to understand and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, safety requirements, municipal codes, organizational rules, directives, and SOPs • Minimum 21 years of age • Valid state ID • Ability to obtain and maintain state badging requirements for work in the cannabis industry, including background check and state review • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
• Willingness to travel 2–3 times a month for up to 4-day stints • Extensive travel up to 50% as needed to support sites across the enterprise
