📋 Description

• Build and lead GuidePoint’s Post-Quantum Cryptography advisory practice from the ground up • Define service offerings, delivery methodologies, and go-to-market strategy • Develop and execute growth strategy for PQC services, including cryptographic inventory assessments, migration roadmaps, crypto-agility advisory, and quantum risk quantification • Manage the practice’s P&L and achieve revenue, utilization, and margin KPIs • Recruit, mentor, and develop PQC consultants and cryptographic engineers • Align the PQC practice with GuidePoint’s broader GRC mission and service ecosystem • Drive collaboration across geographically distributed teams and regional leadership • Lead strategic sales through conference speaking, thought leadership, proposals, podcasts, and executive relationships • Create and improve PQC-specific sales, marketing, and delivery collateral • Shape and approve engagement scope, work breakdown, estimates, and delivery schedules • Partner with CISOs, CTOs, CIOs, and enterprise security architects to assess cryptographic posture and develop quantum-readiness strategies • Oversee PQC readiness assessments, cryptographic inventory analysis, and migration roadmaps aligned with NIST standards, CNSA 2.0, and crypto-agility frameworks • Lead assessments of cryptographic dependencies across TLS/SSL, PKI, code signing, key management, HSMs, and data-at-rest encryption • Ensure advisory engagements deliver measurable outcomes, reduced quantum risk exposure, and remediation timelines • Lead pre-sales and business development activities, executive workshops, SOW scoping, and technical presentations • Engage client executive teams and boards, translating cryptographic concepts into business risk terms • Execute cryptographic transformation programs with peer practices including compliance, risk management, and cloud security • Build customer relationships and understand business environments, regulatory obligations, and cryptographic dependencies • Coach teams and promote continuous professional development and technical excellence • Mature service offerings, create new offerings, and mentor team members on PQC methodologies • Author technical and business collateral for technical, managerial, and executive audiences • Build a high-performing cryptographic expertise team • Partner with transformation, enablement, operations, and marketing teams • Represent GuidePoint at executive briefings, RSA, Black Hat, NIST workshops, and cybersecurity summits • Contribute to PQC methodologies, assessment frameworks, and migration toolkits • Publish and present thought leadership on PQC, cryptographic migration, quantum risk, and crypto-agility • Monitor NIST standardization, NSA/CNSA 2.0 timelines, and quantum computing developments

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with deep expertise in applied cryptography, public key infrastructure (PKI), and/or cryptographic engineering • Demonstrated experience leading advisory teams or cryptographic transformation initiatives • Strong understanding of NIST Post-Quantum Cryptography standards and algorithms: ML-KEM/Kyber, ML-DSA/Dilithium, SLH-DSA/SPHINCS+, FN-DSA/Falcon • Familiarity with NSA CNSA 2.0 transition timelines, FIPS 203/204/205, and federal quantum-readiness mandates NSM-10 and OMB M-23-02 • Experience engaging at Board, CXO, and CISO levels on technical and strategic cybersecurity matters • Proven ability to design and operationalize cryptographic migration programs or enterprise-wide technology transformation initiatives • Strong executive presence and credibility with senior business and technical leaders • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to translate complex cryptographic concepts into business risk language • Strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable plans and measurable outcomes • Ability to embrace emerging technologies, including AI tools • Up to 25% travel • Preferred: prior experience as a CISO, Deputy CISO, Chief Cryptographer, or senior cybersecurity executive advisor • Preferred: certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCISO, or specialized cryptography credentials • Preferred: MBA or MS in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent advanced education • Preferred: hands-on experience with cryptographic libraries, HSM management, and key management systems • Preferred: experience with crypto risk quantification, cryptographic inventory tools, or crypto-agility platforms • Preferred: familiarity with FIPS 140-3 validation processes and cryptographic module testing • Preferred: background in quantum computing concepts, QKD, or quantum-safe network architectures • Sedentary work and substantial wrist, hand, and/or finger movement for a minimum of 8 hours daily • Close visual acuity for computer terminal viewing and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours daily
