📋 Description

• Oversee a multi-location transportation operation with up to 100 company drivers • Maintain responsibility for overall P&L to meet established budgets and forecasts • Ensure effective communication, interaction, and relationships with company drivers • Oversee tractor maintenance, compliance, and service delivery • Manage 1–2 on-site managers supervising 20–30 employees • Track operational performance, including on-time pickup and delivery, volume, equipment balance, and empty miles • Ensure driver recruiting and retention meet established fleet-size goals • Identify opportunities to increase accuracy, optimize resources, and implement solutions • Develop transportation operations staff

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of transportation management experience • Advanced knowledge of DOT rules and regulations • Solid experience with transportation industry principles and practices • Bachelor’s degree preferred • 10 years of transportation industry experience preferred • Dedicated Fleet Management experience preferred • Ability to identify opportunities, optimize resources, increase accuracy, and implement solutions • Availability for 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm • Compliance with GXO COVID safety policies and applicable CDC, OSHA, state, and local requirements • Conditional-offer recipients may be required to pass a pre-employment drug test
