📋 Description

• Lead technical product development for dietary and nutritional supplement products manufactured in North America for the H&H China market. • Provide end-to-end technical leadership across the product portfolio, from initial formulation and feasibility assessment through pilot-scale trials, process validation, and full-scale manufacturing. • Partner with China R&D and Marketing teams to develop differentiated products and bring them successfully to market. • Serve as technical lead for China-market SWISSE and BIOSTIME projects in the United States. • Define and recommend product requirements; evaluate technical and safety feasibility; support claims substantiation; confirm regulatory considerations; and support process validation. • Lead technical communication with U.S.-based contract manufacturers regarding formulations, trial protocols and agreements, process development, scale-up, and manufacturing process controls. • Support manufacturing capacity and supply continuity through technical transfer of existing products to additional contract manufacturers. • Evaluate raw material specifications and formulation information for technical suitability, regulatory compliance, quality requirements, and intended product claims. • Provide technical and scientific support for consumer, customer, manufacturing, and quality-related issues. • Conduct literature and technical research on product trends, ingredients, and processing technologies relevant to the dietary supplement market. • Build and maintain relationships with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and project partners. • Manage technical deliverables and priorities against project timelines. • Participate in cross-functional project meetings and provide input on deliverables, timelines, technical risks, and development processes. • Drive continuous improvement in new product development ways of working, tools, documentation, and team efficiency. • Follow H&H systems and processes, including change control, document control, and relevant digital platforms. • Report to the Director of Product Development, China Market.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy, Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline. • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a master's degree, in dietary supplements, nutritional supplements, or a closely related manufacturing industry. • Demonstrated experience developing dietary or nutritional supplement products for multiple markets, including successful commercialization and product launches. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is preferred. • In-depth knowledge of end-to-end new product development, product quality and stability evaluation, food safety requirements, and applicable regulatory considerations. • Extensive knowledge of dietary supplement formulation calculations, dosage forms, raw materials, manufacturing processes, scale-up, and quality assurance requirements. • Strong cross-functional collaborator who communicates effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders and demonstrates curiosity and a commitment to continued learning. • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting demanding timelines. • Consistently delivers high-quality work with strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and effective problem-solving skills. • Demonstrates business acumen and the ability to balance technical requirements with commercial and project needs. • Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the United States, with occasional international or cross-regional travel. • Flexibility in working hours is required; schedules may vary depending on business needs and time zones. • West Coast candidates are preferred.
