📋 Description

• Analyze claims data and communicate conclusions in writing and verbally to internal partners • Draw insights from detailed and multifaceted claims data and reports • Present findings to senior leaders • Respond to urgent and timely requests • Produce routine and ad hoc information in a rapid-turnaround environment • Lead the development or enhancement of complex reports and tools for multiple lines of business • Work independently and leverage resources when needed • Quantify impacts of internal operational changes and external trends on frequency, severity, and overall loss results • Develop industry knowledge and internal data expertise to solve complex business questions • Monitor external industry trends and best practices • Partner with the team and management to generate innovative solutions • Analyze variances in loss results compared with plan • Identify and communicate potential areas for improvement within Claims and other functions • Build reporting analytics for faster and more comprehensive insights

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical field (math, finance, actuarial science, or analytics preferred) • 4-6+ years of related analytical and property & casualty industry experience preferred (e.g. actuarial, business analytics, or finance) • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to perform exploratory data analysis • Expert knowledge of Excel • Intermediate knowledge of SQL • Ability to efficiently work with large and complex data sets • Ability to turn raw data into meaningful information • Ability to summarize complex business concepts in written and oral communications, including PowerPoint • Understanding of key industry financial/operational metrics • Strong organization, project, and time management skills • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines with quality work • Ability to use a personal computer and standard office equipment • Ability to work in a fast-paced or stressful environment • Ability to travel as necessary • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
