📋 Description

• Develop clear and comprehensive how-to guides, user manuals, and technical documentation for security products, including IP cameras, NVRs, and VMS software • Translate complex technical concepts into simple, easy-to-understand instructions for users of all experience levels • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure technical content accuracy • Edit and proofread documentation for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company standards • Work with product management, technical support, and sales teams to meet end-user documentation needs • Respond to feedback and update documentation to address user needs and improve usability • Stay current on products, best practices, and emerging technologies • Write and organize troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and best-practices documentation • Incorporate diagrams, illustrations, and other visuals for installation steps, product layouts, and system configurations • Gather feedback from users and support teams to improve documentation quality and relevance

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a Technical Writer • Proven ability to create clear, concise, user-friendly, and technically accurate documentation • 3 writing samples required • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize documentation needs • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality standards • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools • Experience with Zendesk, ServiceNow, or other ticketing/knowledge systems • Minimum 2 years of experience in the security industry involving IP cameras, NVRs, and VMS software (preferred) • Prolonged sitting and/or standing for long periods • Ability to lift 25 lbs occasionally • Ability to perform computer activities for a minimum of 8 hours • Ability for remote employees to create a lab environment in the workspace • Ability to perform physical installation of products occasionally
