📋 Description

• Manage end-to-end delivery of employee benefits programs for Happl's US customers, including open enrollment, new hire onboarding, plan changes, and renewals • Act as the main point of contact for US customers on benefits questions, escalations, and carrier/vendor issues • Liaise with insurance carriers, broker partners, and other vendors to resolve issues and keep plans running smoothly • Own compliance and administrative work, including ACA reporting support, COBRA administration, ERISA disclosures, ID cards, plan documents, and state-specific requirements • Flag compliance risk early and work with customers and internal teams to resolve it • Keep Happl's internal US compliance playbooks and processes current as rules change • Partner with Product and Engineering as the subject-matter expert on US employee benefits and translate market, carrier, and regulatory realities into product requirements • Help set the roadmap for US-specific features and prioritize product improvements • Represent US market needs in internal planning and communicate Happl's product roadmap to US customers and prospects • Support sales conversations and deal close for new US customers • Provide customer success coverage for US accounts when needed

🎯 Requirements

• Working understanding of US employee benefits, including plan types, carriers, enrollment cycles, ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and relevant state rules • Comfort switching between strategic conversations and detailed, manual administrative work • Strong written and verbal communication • Self-directed, remote-first working style • Enough Eastern-time overlap to support US customers and collaborate with the wider Happl team • Prior experience as a licensed benefits broker or inside a brokerage is valued but not required • Prior experience at an insurtech, benefits platform, or PEO/HRIS company is valued • Technical mindset; comfortable with spreadsheets and familiar with how software is built • Ability to write clear product requirements without necessarily writing code
