📋 Description

• Design, implement, and operate enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure across IaaS and PaaS services • Own technical architecture and engineering decisions for complex Azure environments • Design highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient Azure solutions • Lead infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, and platform transformation initiatives • Establish Azure infrastructure standards, reference architectures, and engineering best practices • Evaluate Azure services and determine appropriate technology choices based on business and technical requirements • Drive continuous improvement of platform reliability, scalability, performance, security, and operational efficiency • Design hub-and-spoke and enterprise-scale network architectures • Implement security-by-design, least-privilege access, network segmentation, private connectivity, secrets, certificates, and key management • Work with security teams on Defender for Cloud, security posture, vulnerability management, and incident response • Develop production-quality infrastructure automation, CI/CD, policy-as-code, automated provisioning, testing, validation, remediation, and operational tooling • Design high-availability, fault-tolerant, regional and multi-region architectures, including RTO/RPO, backup, restore, disaster recovery, and recovery testing • Design Azure monitoring and observability solutions, dashboards, health models, SLI/SLOs, and operational metrics • Troubleshoot complex performance, availability, networking, and infrastructure issues; lead technical RCA for Sev-1/Sev-2 incidents • Perform capacity and performance analysis and optimize compute, storage, networking, PaaS consumption, and Azure costs • Mentor senior engineers, review architecture and technical designs, challenge assumptions, identify risks, and lead complex initiatives • Collaborate with application, security, networking, SRE, DevOps, and architecture teams • Provide technical leadership during major incidents and high-impact infrastructure changes • Influence engineering decisions across teams without formal management authority

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or a related field • 8+ years of strong hands-on Azure experience • Deep expertise in Azure IaaS • Strong knowledge of Azure PaaS services • Strong Azure networking fundamentals • Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and Azure RBAC • Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform and/or Bicep • Strong PowerShell and/or Azure CLI skills • Experience with Azure monitoring and troubleshooting • Experience designing highly available and resilient Azure environments • Strong understanding of hybrid Azure/on-premises architectures • Experience with production-scale Azure environments • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability • Ability to independently drive complex technical problems to resolution • Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, Azure Administrator Associate certification, and Azure Network Engineer Associate certification are good to have • Experience with AKS, container platforms, Azure Landing Zones/Enterprise Scale, Azure Policy and governance, DevOps/CI/CD platforms, GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, FinOps, SRE practices, and large-scale distributed systems is good to have
