📋 Description

• Design, implement, and operate enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure across IaaS and PaaS services • Own technical architecture and engineering decisions for complex Azure environments • Design highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient Azure solutions • Lead infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, and platform transformation initiatives • Establish Azure infrastructure standards, reference architectures, and engineering best practices • Evaluate Azure services and select technologies based on business and technical requirements • Drive continuous improvement of platform reliability, scalability, performance, security, and operational efficiency • Design hub-and-spoke and enterprise-scale network architectures, including hybrid connectivity • Design secure Azure environments, network segmentation, private connectivity, and least-privilege access models • Work with security teams on Defender for Cloud, security posture, vulnerability management, and incident response • Implement secrets, certificates, and key management with Azure Key Vault • Develop production-quality infrastructure automation, CI/CD, provisioning, configuration, testing, governance, and remediation tooling • Design high-availability, fault-tolerant, regional, and multi-region solutions • Define and implement RTO/RPO, backup, restore, disaster recovery, DR testing, and failure-recovery strategies • Develop self-healing and automated remediation capabilities • Perform capacity planning, resilience assessments, performance analysis, and cost optimization • Design Azure monitoring and observability solutions, dashboards, health models, SLI/SLOs, and operational metrics • Troubleshoot complex performance, availability, networking, and infrastructure issues • Lead technical root-cause analysis for Sev-1/Sev-2 incidents and implement permanent engineering solutions • Act as technical authority for Azure infrastructure and platform engineering • Mentor senior engineers and raise engineering standards • Review architecture and technical designs, challenge assumptions, and identify technical risks • Lead complex engineering initiatives from design through implementation • Collaborate with application, security, networking, SRE, DevOps, and architecture teams • Provide technical leadership during major incidents and high-impact infrastructure changes • Influence engineering decisions across teams without formal management authority

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or a related field • 8+ years of strong hands-on Azure experience • Deep expertise in Azure IaaS • Strong knowledge of Azure PaaS services • Strong Azure networking fundamentals • Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and Azure RBAC • Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform and/or Bicep • Strong PowerShell and/or Azure CLI skills • Experience with Azure monitoring and troubleshooting • Experience designing highly available and resilient Azure environments • Strong understanding of hybrid Azure/on-premises architectures • Experience with production-scale Azure environments • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability • Ability to independently drive complex technical problems to resolution • Experience with Azure Virtual Machines, VM Scale Sets, Availability Zones, Availability Sets, Managed Disks, Azure Storage, VNets, subnets, NSGs, UDRs, Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway/WAF, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Private Endpoints, Private DNS, Azure Bastion, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics • Experience designing and operating Azure App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, container platforms, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, Azure SQL, managed databases, Azure Cache, and other managed platform services • Deep understanding of hub-and-spoke, enterprise-scale, VNet peering, Virtual WAN, Private Link, DNS, ExpressRoute, VPN, routing, load balancing, network security, and packet-level troubleshooting • Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identity, service principals, Azure Policy, governance, compliance, and resource controls • Strong hands-on experience with Bicep/ARM Templates and/or Terraform, PowerShell and/or Azure CLI, Git-based infrastructure management, CI/CD automation, automated provisioning, infrastructure testing, policy-as-code, and remediation tooling • Experience designing high-availability, fault-tolerant, regional and multi-region architectures, RTO/RPO strategies, backup, restore, disaster recovery, DR testing, capacity planning, and resilience assessments • Strong experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, alerting, dashboards, health models, SLI/SLOs, and operational metrics • Experience with Azure capacity and performance analysis, scalability optimization, cost optimization, Azure Advisor, and platform telemetry • Principal-level technical depth with hands-on engineering, architecture, automation, operations, troubleshooting, and technical leadership • Ability to lead technical discussions, mentor engineers, review architectures, and influence decisions without formal management authority • Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, and Azure Network Engineer Associate certifications are good to have, not required • Experience with AKS, container platforms, Azure Landing Zones, Enterprise Scale, Azure Policy, DevOps/CI/CD platforms, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, FinOps, SRE practices, and large-scale distributed systems is good to have
