📋 Description

• Write and lead activities associated with large, national Requests for Proposals • Produce high-quality proposals for new and existing business opportunities under strict deadlines • Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, Underwriting, and internal stakeholders on proposal strategy and competitive positioning • Analyze RFPs, requirements, statements of work, terms and conditions, definitions, and submission instructions • Write, edit, organize, package, proofread, and quality-assure proposal responses • Coordinate assigned projects independently according to detailed customer specifications • Assist with pricing proposals, standard program proposals, and ad hoc sales-cycle documents • Maintain proposal-ready response materials, Responsive library content, and templates • Support Sales and Account Management with product, process, and administrative-policy questions • Lead or participate in resolution of RFP and proposal-process issues • Interview subject matter experts to ensure response accuracy and completeness • Provide writing and draft-review support for proposals and sales presentations • Improve proposal-cycle processes and distribute process-improvement information • Interact with technical staff, executives, customers, and other organizational stakeholders • Manage multiple projects simultaneously • Mentor, train, and assist junior Proposal Writers

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’ degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related field and 5 years of proposal management experience specifically in the national/major or public sector OR 9 years of proposal writing / management experience specifically in the national/major or public sector • Demonstrated experience in leading high-profile, highly complex RFPs for large, national employer groups • Proficiency in quickly reviewing and analyzing proposal solicitations and related documents • Experience autonomously leading and developing highly customized proposal responses tailored to the client • Ability to conceptualize content, gather information/data and key messages, establish positioning, and articulate content in a single tone and consistent tense • Strong written and oral communication skills • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and cross-functionally • Ability to lead the proposal process from beginning to end while managing multiple RFPs/projects simultaneously • PC skills and experience with Microsoft products • Verbal and written communication skills to complete Requests for Proposals and coordinate activities with many departments • Ability to incorporate layman terms in proposals • Demonstrated project management, organizing, planning, and scheduling skills • Demonstrated creative and business writing skills • Experience and skills with proposal management and automation software such as Responsive, Loopio, and Qvidian (preferred) • Extensive proposal writing experience in healthcare, such as health plans, PBM, or related industries (preferred) • APMP certification (preferred)
