📋 Description

• Facilitate individual and group connection opportunities for Fox-eligible Veterans • Facilitate Veteran Peer groups using peer support curriculum and norms • Help Veterans explore mutual support organizations, social supports, and community activities • Combat self-stigma and encourage sharing recovery messages • Promote empowerment and self-determination • Practice, mentor others, and maintain fidelity to Peer Support values • Participate in internal and external training • Offer and complete Mental Health Advanced Directives when appropriate • Collaborate with the Fox team to provide crisis support • Attend Fox team meetings, case reviews, and other required meetings • Complete accurate client documentation • Participate in supervision and seek guidance for client concerns and ethical dilemmas

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces • Must have experience with a diagnosis of mental illness, be in recovery from that illness, and be willing to self-identify with other Veterans in the Fox program • Must hold or be in training to receive the Maine CIPSS credential within 9 months • Maintain CIPSS certification and follow the Maine CIPSS Code of Ethics • Protect and maintain confidentiality of client records and information following HIPAA rules and applicable guidelines • Provide services consistent with trauma-informed practices • Participate in required supervision, training, team meetings, case reviews, and interdisciplinary collaboration • Maintain accurate documentation according to agency policies and applicable laws, regulations, and agreements
