📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain HealthStream's large-scale Salesforce managed package • Design, develop, and ship Salesforce features using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, custom objects, and metadata-driven configuration • Build and maintain second-generation managed packages, including namespacing, versioning, upgrade paths, and subscriber-safe changes • Design solutions that operate within governor limits across diverse subscriber organizations • Build and support REST/SOAP integrations, named credentials, callouts, platform events, and external systems • Write Apex unit tests and participate in code reviews, design reviews, and release planning • Use AI tooling regularly to enhance quality and productivity • Provide solution design and architectural patterns with minimal oversight • Make technology decisions to meet project requirements and goals • Guide and oversee contractors, technical staff, and junior developers • Engage InfoSec, SRE, and DBA shared services in design discussions • Mentor team members on productivity tooling and trends • Troubleshoot production issues, upgrade failures, and regressions in packaging and subscriber organizations • Advise customer service and technical operations on application questions • Translate technical work for non-technical and broader technical audiences • Create clear documentation for new and existing solutions • Adhere to HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training

🎯 Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any discipline), or closely related field of study is preferred • At least 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Developer, Consultant, Software Engineer, or closely related occupation • Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps best practices including CI/CD and automation • Demonstrated knowledge of cloud technologies and monitoring platforms • Solid knowledge of database best practices, security, and performance techniques • Hands-on managed package experience (1GP or 2GP), including packaging, versioning, upgrades, and namespaced development • Strong Apex skills: triggers, batch/queueable/schedulable jobs, trigger frameworks, bulkification, and governor-limit design • Strong Lightning Web Component (LWC) experience; Aura experience is a plus • Solid understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security, profiles, permission sets, sharing, and declarative tools • Experience with Salesforce DX, scratch orgs, source-driven development, and Git-based workflows • Experience building and consuming REST/SOAP APIs from Salesforce • Salesforce certifications preferred: Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or equivalent experience • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing • Proven ability to debug complex issues across packaging orgs and subscriber orgs • Ability to work individually and as part of a team • Ability to learn through self-directed courseware and peer/senior staff mentoring • Attention to time management, professional conduct, and corporate policies • Solid grasp of products maintained by the team and cursory knowledge of the product family • Critical thinking and ability to drive solutions with minimal guidance • Ability to collaborate outside the immediate team and coordinate on common concerns
