📋 Description

• Prepare, analyze, and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries to the general ledger • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, and fixed assets • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes in accordance with GAAP and company deadlines • Conduct monthly variance analysis on expense accounts • Maintain fixed asset schedules, tracking capitalization, depreciation, and disposals • Monitor aging reports, track outstanding balances, and execute collection efforts • Process and apply incoming customer payments accurately to appropriate accounts • Resolve customer billing inquiries, payment discrepancies, and short-payments • Review, code, and enter vendor invoices • Prepare payment runs for manager approval • Reconcile vendor statements and track credit applications • Prepare and process annual 1099 filings • Perform inventory sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations and investigate variances • Track inventory movements, valuation adjustments, and scrap/shrinkage entries • Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle count audits • Assist with monitoring product margins, landed costs, and COGS accuracy • Support internal and external audit requests • Maintain internal accounting controls and SOPs • Identify opportunities to automate routines, streamline closing procedures, and optimize ERP reporting • Support tax compliance and sales tax submissions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • Minimum 2+ years of professional general ledger, AP, and AR experience • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP principles and general ledger procedures • Excellent organizational skills with high precision in data entry and reconciliation • Clear written and verbal communication skills for interaction across departments and with external vendors/customers • Detail-oriented and dependable • Strong analytical skills • Experience with inventory accounting is highly desirable • Heggerty is an E-Verify participant • Background check required if selected
