📋 Description

• Direct and ensure efficient administration and management of Human Resources at assigned hotels • Support hotels currently in the portfolio and properties transitioning to HEI management • Provide guidance and counseling to general managers, management staff, and associates • Assist with recruitment, training and development, payroll, and associate relations • Direct recruiting and interviewing processes and conduct interviews for management positions • Ensure pre-selection activities, reference checks, background checks, and employment eligibility verifications • Ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local HR laws and regulations • Oversee Affirmative Action Plan compliance • Administer associate recognition, service awards, social functions, and hotel meetings • Monitor performance appraisal programs and review evaluation quality and goals • Administer wages and benefits accurately and equitably • Coordinate transition activities, including interviews, offer letters, events, materials, benefits presentations, and HR training • Oversee payroll onboarding and time-system training for managers at newly acquired properties • Manage labor relations, administer union contracts, respond to grievances, negotiate settlements, and represent hotels at arbitrations • Cover HR vacancies or leaves of absence, onboard HR professionals, and support hotel transitions • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field or HR certification is helpful • Previous hotel experience as a Human Resources Manager or Director required • Experience processing payroll required • Thorough knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedures • Considerable knowledge of state and federal HR laws and regulations • Ability to organize processes around applicants and associates • Ability to resolve conflicts with patience, tact, and diplomacy • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff • Ability to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate • Basic mathematical skills for salary and benefit administration and departmental expense forecasting • Ability to prepare correspondence and meet deadlines • Ability to provide clear instructions, guidance, and counseling • Ability to observe workplace operations and assess performance, training, policy adherence, and morale • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines • Ability to stand, walk, and sit and perform essential functions during an eight-plus-hour shift • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences • Travel required up to 100% of the time
