📋 Description

• Contribute directly to key platform features and components as an individual contributor • Lead the end-to-end design and development of scalable, reliable, secure, and high-performing healthcare software systems • Design and implement healthcare transaction-processing solutions compliant with EDI, HL7, and FHIR • Communicate team priorities and expectations and ensure resources are available • Own the quality of team-delivered features and functional/non-functional requirements • Identify gaps in architectural patterns and promote experimentation and innovation • Serve as the primary technical liaison for executive stakeholders • Identify and mitigate technical risks • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to define scope, assess feasibility, and translate business needs into technical solutions • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to engineering teams • Monitor emerging healthcare technologies and trends and recommend solutions • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field, or equivalent significant industry experience • 8+ years of experience in software engineering within a software product company • Extensive experience architecting, building and delivering complex, high-performance SaaS solutions in cloud environments (AWS or similar), using microservices and serverless architectures • 5+ years of hands-on experience in the healthcare industry, particularly developing healthcare transaction products • Strong experience with FHIR and HL7 healthcare interoperability standards • Proficiency in Java, C#, and Python (preferred) • Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases • Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Mirth Connect experience; fluency in Mirth is highly beneficial • Travel up to 10%, including overnight travel
