📋 Description

• Lead a team of 3-4 software engineers in the consistent, timely delivery of quality features and products • Validate that what the team ships works for customers and operators • Foster a build, test, learn culture by shipping practical MVPs and iterating on feedback • Cultivate collaboration across the stack and minimize serialized hand-offs • Practice and champion strong engineering methods and practices • Set team norms for AI-assisted development using Claude and Copilot • Help the team assess where AI tools genuinely help while maintaining quality • Adapt team processes as AI-assisted development changes delivery speed and use metrics to guide decisions • Coach team members as they develop greater skills and responsibilities • Work with product managers to understand requirements, prioritize backlogs, and set timelines • Own business metrics alongside product managers and cross-functional business partners

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a front-line manager in a high-growth organization • 7+ years of experience as an individual contributor • Demonstrable front-end or full-stack experience • Actively coding, with a Player (40) : Coach (60) balance • Track record of adopting AI-assisted development and converting it into real throughput • Fluency with AI-powered features, including LLM API integrations, RAG, and AI-driven automation • Experience with systems involving both monoliths and microservices • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to keep distributed, cross-functional teams aligned • Strong ownership of delivering high-quality solutions • Curiosity and comfort navigating a fast-changing AI landscape • Bonus: experience in the Python web development ecosystem, such as Flask, Django, or Celery • Applicants must be based in the greater Austin area
