📋 Description

• Develop and execute strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients • Develop relationships with key decision-makers and centers of influence • Understand prospective and existing clients’ businesses, exposures, and insurance or employee benefits needs • Partner with account management, broking, and other internal colleagues to develop and deliver appropriate client solutions • Lead prospect meetings, presentations, and new business discussions • Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor on insurance and risk management needs • Expand existing client relationships through additional products, services, and capabilities • Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and competitive developments • Maintain prospect and client activity in applicable systems • Collaborate across Howden’s U.S. and global network to bring relevant expertise and capabilities to clients • Represent Howden at industry events, conferences, and business development opportunities • Conduct business in accordance with regulatory requirements and Howden policies and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in insurance brokerage, business development, production, or a related client-facing role • Strong track record of developing relationships and generating new business • Knowledge of commercial insurance and/or employee benefits products and markets • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills • Ability to identify client needs and develop solutions in partnership with internal specialists • Self-motivated and comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environment • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prospects and client relationships • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, business units, and geographies • Appropriate insurance licenses required or ability to obtain necessary licenses
