📋 Description

• Conduct quality assurance audits of medical records and ICD-9/10 diagnosis codes submitted to CMS and other government agencies • Collect medical records and research member information accuracy • Obtain provider signatures • Travel to provider offices to retrieve, review, and validate medical records on site • Collaborate with provider offices by phone and in person • Access records through multiple EMR systems while following HIPAA guidelines • Retrieve records using a laptop, portable scanner, and external thumb drive, then upload them to a database • Schedule physician-office appointments and visits efficiently to meet deadlines • Assist with regional phone calls and administrative projects • Travel within the assigned territory and occasionally stay overnight • Report directly to the Risk Adjustment Supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• 1 or more years of experience working with various Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems • 1 or more years of experience in a hospital and/or provider setting • Ability to travel overnight occasionally within the Northeast region • Must reside in South Central Pennsylvania within Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, or York counties • Must be available to travel up to 100% in the assigned territory • Must have reliable car transportation • Valid state driver's license required • Proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm EST, with occasional schedule flexibility • Minimum 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload internet speed for home or hybrid home/office employees • Dedicated work space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information • Preferred: experience with Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, and Teams • Preferred: previous managed care experience • Preferred: familiarity with medical terminology and/or ICD-10 codes • Preferred: medical record retrieval experience
