📋 Description

• Provide a full range of legal advice and services • Support Humana’s senior-focused primary care operations and merger and acquisition activity • Advise on fraud, waste, and abuse laws, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and Beneficiary Inducement Statute, as applied to CenterWell Primary Care delivery and operations • Assist with health care regulatory diligence for potential merger and acquisition activity • Coordinate and address legal issues during post-closing integration • Advise executives on significant, often segment-specific matters • Collaborate with leaders throughout the company to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and protection against external risk • Exercise independent judgment on complex legal issues with minimal supervision

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school • 5–10 years of relevant experience • Active membership in a state bar association • Strong legal writing and analytical skills • Ability to work independently under general supervision and in team settings • Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences • Experience in Medicare, Medicaid, or similar regulatory work • Demonstrated knowledge of Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage • Demonstrated knowledge of health care provider operations • Merger and acquisition experience • Familiarity with Medicare risk adjustment and related billing and coding requirements • Minimum home internet speeds of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload for home or hybrid home/office employees • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
