📋 Description

• Shape the product roadmap and challenge what should be built • Turn rough problems into defined work, write stories, and sharpen requirements • Own outcomes such as adoption, accessibility, performance, and reliability • Run discovery, spikes, and prototypes before full implementation • Engage directly with users and stakeholders when access permits • Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications end to end • Build responsive WCAG 2.2-compliant user interfaces • Implement accessible semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader testing • Optimize application performance and implement security best practices • Apply test-driven development across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests • Architect and implement scalable domain-driven Node.js microservices • Design and develop efficient GraphQL services • Deploy and manage applications on Azure, GCP, or AWS • Use Docker or Kubernetes for scalability and resilience • Build and maintain AI-accelerated development skills and tooling • Partner with designers, product managers, and engineers in Agile teams • Maintain technical documentation for APIs, microservices, and front-end components

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience • Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 3 years focused on full-stack web development • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with React, including hooks, state management, and component architecture • Strong working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 success criteria, semantic HTML, ARIA patterns, and assistive technology testing • Minimum 2 years designing and implementing GraphQL APIs using Apollo Server • At least 2 years of experience developing back-end services with Node.js • At least 1 year of experience building and deploying production microservices • Proven experience applying TDD using frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, or Playwright • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS • Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques • Understanding of RESTful APIs, OpenAPI specifications, and GraphQL best practices • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases • Experience with event streaming such as Apache Kafka, including production producers and consumers • Experience with cloud platforms; Azure strongly preferred • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes basics • Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions with incomplete information • Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback • Comfortable operating without a settled playbook • Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps for home internet • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information • Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required
