📋 Description

• Build features end-to-end, including REST APIs, single page applications, and underlying data models • Design on a cloud platform with containers and stateless services • Work through architectural questions with the team • Turn product requests into work items and build them • Review teammate pull requests each week • Deliver code following the team’s existing patterns • Develop relational database schemas and queries with performance considerations • Protect patient data, with zero PHI in development environments • Work in a trunk-based flow with short-lived branches and daily progress • Ship results two to three times a week and optimize for first-time acceptance and minimal rework • Collaborate closely with product

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience in a modern language, building REST APIs and single page applications • Working knowledge of cloud technology, including containers and stateless app development • Relational database development experience with broad depth • Experience in a version-controlled development environment • Quick study able to become useful in unfamiliar stacks within weeks • Ability to identify root causes and ask clarifying questions • Autonomous decision-making and sound judgment • Comfort with abstractions, stateless design, and containerized systems • Strong data ethics and proper production data handling • Ability to accept and act on code review feedback • Willingness to adopt team patterns and participate in early design discussions • At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience • Nice to have: trunk-based development experience • Nice to have: Python, React, and Postgres • Nice to have: agentic or AI-assisted coding tools • Nice to have: experience in a high-compliance environment, healthcare or otherwise
