📋 Description

• Manage engineering and construction activities during the pre-construction and construction phases of new projects and modifications to existing projects for Avangrid Power • Provide recommendations on costs, schedules and other factors for construction and operations of proposed or existing energy facilities • Manage project activities including budgeted cost, schedule scope, risk management, resources, and quality management during engineering, procurement, and construction phases • Develop design, procurement and construction contracts during project execution • Direct project engineers and construction site managers to ensure milestones are met safely, on schedule, and within budget • Negotiate and manage engineering, procurement, and construction activities • Provide owner's project management for multiple wind, solar and BESS energy projects • Lead professionals providing technical expertise and project support through design, construction, commissioning and operations • Provide periodic updates to senior management on project activities, progress and issues • Develop a safety awareness culture in workplace, project designs, construction and operations • Assist with technical due diligence • Forecast capital budget spending on assigned projects • Support plant operations, including improvements, equipment acquisition, breakdown analysis and corrective actions • Implement process feedback mechanisms, quality audits and process improvements • Ensure project closing and handover to Operations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related study plus 10 years’ experience in project engineering and construction of electric generation projects • 5 years’ experience in project development or management • Demonstrated oral and written communication, effective negotiating and dispute resolution skills • Proficiency using personal computer tools such as Word, Excel, Primavera P3, and Thermo-flow GT Pro/GT Master • Ability to travel up to 50% • PMP Certification from a recognized institution • Preferred: A working knowledge of construction law, contracts, claims avoidance, insurance, and contract administration • Preferred: OSHA certificate • Preferred: Risk management certification from a recognized institution • Preferred: Negotiation training/certificate from a recognized institution
