📋 Description

• Manage engineering and construction activities during pre-construction and construction phases of new projects and modifications to existing projects • Provide recommendations on costs, schedules, and other factors for construction and operations of energy facilities • Manage budgets and schedules during engineering, procurement, and construction phases • Develop design, procurement, and construction contracts during pre-construction • Direct project engineers and construction site managers to ensure milestones are met safely, on schedule, and within budget • Negotiate and manage engineering, procurement, and construction activities • Provide owner's project management for multiple wind and thermal energy projects • Lead professionals providing technical expertise and project support through design, construction, commissioning, and operations • Provide periodic updates to senior management on project activities, progress, and issues • Develop a safety awareness culture across project design, construction, and operation • Assist with technical due diligence • Forecast capital budget spending on assigned projects • Support plant operations, including improvements, equipment acquisition, breakdown analysis, and corrective actions • Implement and use process feedback mechanisms, quality audits, and strategic initiatives to identify efficiencies and improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related study • 10 years of experience in project engineering and construction of electric generation projects • 5 years' experience in project development or management • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills • Effective negotiating and dispute resolution skills • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Primavera P3, and Thermo-flow GT Pro/GT Master • Ability to travel 20% • Preferred: working knowledge of construction law, contracts, claims avoidance, insurance, and contract administration
