📋 Description

• Develop and implement a data science strategy aligned with USMC strategic goals and objectives • Work with USMC stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage data for HR processes including recruitment, retention, training, and performance management • Lead exploration and analysis of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, insights, data quality issues, gaps, and enhancements • Design, develop, and validate predictive models using machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques • Deploy and maintain scalable, reliable machine learning models in production • Create data visualizations using tools such as Power BI to communicate insights to stakeholders • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists • Collaborate with software developers, system architects, and business analysts to integrate data science solutions • Implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data quality and accuracy • Ensure data science activities comply with USMC and DoD regulations and security policies • Research advances in data science and machine learning and explore technologies to improve HR processes • Create and maintain documentation of data science processes, models, and results

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field • Active Secret security clearance required • Active CompTIA Security+ certification required • Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques • Strong expertise in the Azure Cloud environment • Experience with Azure, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Machine Learning, Databricks, Logic Apps, and AI Foundry • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and PySpark • Strong proficiency in Python or a similar language and SQL for data preparation, analysis, and modeling • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dataverse for data storage and management • Strong experience with data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and ETL processes • Experience in data governance, metadata management, and data cataloging • Strong understanding of database technologies and SQL • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Automate, is a plus • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills • Must reside in the continental United States • Must be authorized to work in the United States • Occasional travel to client sites or meetings may be required
