📋 Description

• Partner with the Sourcing Centers of Excellence team to execute category strategies • Engage key business owners to align category strategies with business objectives • Develop comprehensive category strategies that drive long-term value • Provide updates on category performance, strategic initiatives, and market trends • Participate in value analysis team meetings and initiatives • Quantify and deliver savings targets for assigned categories • Conduct supplier performance reviews and manage supplier scorecards • Identify supplier risks and plan for supply assurance • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends and competitive dynamics • Evaluate new technologies, item-add requests, and products • Create an opportunity pipeline using a total-cost-of-ownership mindset • Provide data-driven insights to improve clinical and financial outcomes • Develop tools and processes to streamline contract administration and governance • Ensure desired KPIs are included in contracts and implemented within appropriate service lines • Manage contracts within the category portfolio, including expiration dates and improvement opportunities • Prioritize the next 12–18-month category portfolio and publish categories to the sourcing calendar • Collaborate with Control Tower, Field Logistics, Operations, Facility Leaders, and Regional Leaders on implementation and rationalization efforts

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience within supply chain or a healthcare-applicable qualification • Experience overseeing mid-level, semi-complex projects and managing communications, stakeholders, and risk • Experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or a similar healthcare role • Experience with strategic sourcing, supply chain purchasing, contracting strategy, supplier relationship management, and large-scale procurement operations • Demonstrated project management expertise with ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all responsibility and authority levels • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and foster collaboration within high-performance teams • Preferred perioperative experience • Experience leveraging GPO and completing vendor RFP and GPO contracts • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred • Master’s or advanced degree or professional certification such as CPSM or CIPS preferred • Healthcare product knowledge preferred • Experience leveraging GPO contracts as part of category strategy • Experience in supply chain procurement, including sourcing, contracting, and purchasing • Familiarity with strategic eProcurement platforms, including eSourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management, and Supplier Performance Management modules • Ability to meet physical requirements including reading information, frequent computer use, verbal communication, hearing, and manual dexterity
