IMH also runs digital platforms to support project estimation and paid home-service offerings, coordinates large-scale catastrophe responses, and connects insurers, beneficiaries and service providers via its accredited prestataire network.

📋 Description

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the coding department • Supervise departmental caregivers • Address coding issues and questions • Oversee quality assurance audits • Identify and participate in operational improvements • Monitor Epic Coding work queues, in-basket messages, inpatient note reports, and timely charge entry • Monitor departmental KPIs, weekly goals, and charge lag • Participate in interviewing, onboarding, and orienting new caregivers • Coach caregivers and draft and monitor corrective action plans • Document required touch bases • Monitor staffing levels, coder productivity, quality assurance audits, and adherence to protocols and guidelines • Support coders by monitoring schedules and flex time and reviewing and approving timecards • Forecast future resource needs and create action plans for areas outside of goal • Collaborate with Coding Manager(s) and other departments to meet Medical Group objectives and goals

🎯 Requirements

• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist – Physician) required • Demonstrated experience in professional fee coding, including Evaluation & Management (E/M) services required • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Minimum of two (2) years of professional fee coding experience preferred • Experience coding for assigned specific specialty service lines preferred • Prior supervisory experience preferred • Previous Epic experience preferred • Knowledge of Medicare coding guidelines, including NCCI and LCD/NCD • Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 • Epic/PB Resolute experience • Accuracy and attention to detail • Collaborative and communication skills • Ability to navigate Epic EMR, reports, and work queues • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, Kronos, ServiceHub, and Optum Encoder Pro • Ability to see and read information, labels, documents, and monitors • Ability to verbally communicate and hear and understand spoken information • Manual dexterity for frequent computer use and manipulating equipment
