📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate a highly scalable, performant, and resilient planet-scale storage layer • Develop and maintain automation for logging, monitoring, and storage-layer maintenance • Use Hadoop, Spark, Aerospike, Kafka, and related technologies to enhance and optimize existing systems • Participate in complex security system designs • Mentor junior teammates • Own large projects and components as a senior contributor • Champion process and procedure improvements for the team and division • Influence team direction and foster accountability, trust, and focus on goals • Live and promote Index Exchange values internally and externally

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to relay information and ideas effectively within and across different teams • Ability to prioritize tasks against competing scope and timelines • Strong foundation in Operations • Experience solving complex problems and building solutions, including CI/CD, real-time monitoring, and production issues • Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting open-source distributed storage solutions such as Ceph and storage orchestrators such as Rook in a highly automated environment and at scale • Experience with IaC and configuration management tools such as Salt, Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform • Experience with storage-level replication technologies • Strong experience with capacity planning, disaster recovery, and monitoring • Thorough, scalable, and rigorous approach to globally distributed systems
