• Begin at the Claims Resolution Specialist level to gain a comprehensive understanding of current workflows and processes • Meet all CRS productivity standards while managing a team of Claims Resolution Specialists supporting the client account • Supervise and support the CRS team, answer claim-related questions, and oversee daily workflow • Serve as a resource for team members and promote operational efficiency • Distribute and monitor daily worklists and ensure timely, accurate completion of assignments • Conduct daily productivity reviews and report team members who do not meet performance standards • Perform random claim audits to identify training needs, improve processes, and streamline claim resolution • Manage team ADP tasks, including attendance, missed punches, and PTO approvals with workload coverage plans • Develop and refine workflows as needed or directed by leadership • Collaborate with management on accounts receivable strategies • Train and participate in hiring and onboarding new team members • Review AR reports, identify root causes of outstanding claims or denial trends, communicate issues, and recommend solutions • Use the Month End deck to connect daily work with overall performance and identify focus areas • Use Excel to track trends, compile data, and build client-ready reporting • Use Activity Wizard to analyze worklists, identify workflow gaps, and investigate claim-level issues • Assist with custom Excel reports and data extracts for client and leadership reporting • Maintain responsive, professional client communications and escalate uncertain requests to the Account Manager • Represent the team during client interactions and internal calls • Lead or participate in project management using shared networks, Wrike, spreadsheet trackers, and the client tracking sheet • Track and complete action items from calls and meetings • Create agendas for monthly regional calls, lead meetings, and document key points and action items • Prioritize work during the final week of each month to optimize month-end performance • Assist with monthly reports and attend AR/client meetings as needed • Develop and maintain weekly Operations meeting agendas, lead meetings, and document minutes • Drive accountability for follow-ups and completion of initiatives • Hold employees to required standards and implement Performance Improvement Plans when guidelines are not met • Maintain working relationships with leadership and support company improvement efforts • Demonstrate competency as a claims resolution specialist for a large-scale, multi-specialty, multi-site U.S. healthcare organization • Perform other duties as assigned
• 5+ years of experience in claims resolution or medical billing • Minimum of 5 years of documented experience on the Athena billing platform • Cerner and NextGen experience a plus • Complete understanding of follow-up processes • Solid background in accounts receivable and Revenue Cycle policies and procedures • Experience in a medical billing environment with protected health information and HIPAA compliance • Excellent communication skills • Excellent systems experience and acuity, including EMR, billing, and collection systems • Multi-system and multi-specialty experience preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel • Bachelor’s degree • Ability to communicate orally and in writing clearly and straightforwardly • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and company personnel • Ability to plan, manage, and lead projects effectively • Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively • Ability to demonstrate judgment and initiative and accomplish job duties • Ability to work independently • Strong business acumen • Strong communication skills, including public speaking • Employees based in the U.S. must satisfy employment eligibility verification requirements
