• Survey and analyze problems of prospective and existing Emerging, Enterprise, and Middle Market clients • Identify, evaluate, and appraise conditions for clients experiencing loss problems • Prepare suitable recommendations for client safety and loss prevention • Deliver professional and technical safety consulting services • Identify loss issues and recommend methods for creating and maintaining safe work environments • Train clients and provide safety education and awareness resources • Ensure adherence to Company and Department standards, policies, and guidelines • Plan, implement, and coordinate loss prevention safety procedures and return-to-work programs • Oversee client surveys, reviews, program structures, and safety manuals within the assigned territory • Act as liaison between Property and Casualty Products and Services and moderate- to high-risk businesses • Perform inspections of assigned client locations when needed • Coordinate with Regional Managers for clients outside the personally serviced geographical area • Interface with Company departments, workers' compensation claims adjusters, and insurance loss prevention personnel • Manage the allocated budget for the assigned client base • Provide consulting services to Insperity personnel regarding occupational health and safety issues
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required • Ten years of successful experience in safety services in a similar position is required • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other safety-related, accredited certification is highly desirable and preferred • Valid driver's license in State of residence with no more than two major violations and one chargeable accident in the last three years is required • Knowledge of workers' compensation principles, practices, and procedures • Knowledge of safety programs, including implementation, maintenance, review, and updating • Knowledge of general business insurance principles, practices, and procedures • Knowledge of OSHA compliance standards and rules, including noise, air quality, testing, and chemical handling • Ability to analyze and evaluate safety procedures across various industries and identify safety problem areas • Ability to independently manage assignments meeting timeliness, quality consulting, and production standards • Proficient in MS Windows software and laptop use • Clear and concise verbal and written communication • Ability to maintain effective work relations • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally or up to 25 pounds frequently • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and in hostile environments, including possible exposure to chemical manufacturing and oil-gas operations • Ability to climb ladders and work above ground level • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
