📋 Description

• Design, build, and implement software solutions to optimize and scale the Instacart platform and related technologies as part of the Core Experience team • Develop highly scalable software using computer science and software engineering principles • Ensure protocols are in place to rapidly roll out upgrades and new features • Analyze and optimize expensive SQL queries • Enable sophisticated, data-driven features that adapt to customer shopping behavior • Lead strategic planning and execution of development projects from inception to deployment and maintenance • Implement solutions creating engaging and straightforward shopping experiences across user interfaces and underlying web and mobile systems • Execute ongoing testing and analysis of current systems • Perform independent performance analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting • Determine design solutions to problematic programming • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent) • 5 years of experience in the job offered or related • 5 years of experience with Java, Ruby, Python, or similar programming languages • 5 years of experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, or similar data management systems • 5 years of experience with API query technologies, such as GraphQL • 2 years of experience with machine learning model development and iteration • 2 years of experience with client/server architectures and application architectures • 2 years of experience working with large codebases on cross-functional teams
