📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning infrastructure for complex marketplace challenges • Advance the ML training and serving platform with the company-wide ML Foundation team • Optimize training and serving bottlenecks for throughput, cost, latency, GPU/accelerator utilization, and tail latency • Identify system and operating-procedure instabilities to improve availability • Build real-time feature-processing infrastructure and low-latency pipelines for fresh model features • Lead infrastructure for a real-time sequential foundation model, including online sequence feature stores, streaming updates, long-context serving, and training pipelines • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers to co-design systems • Engage stakeholders to align solutions with business goals • Mentor engineers, set technical direction, and conduct code reviews • Foster continuous improvement and technical excellence

🎯 Requirements

• Graduate degree (master's or PhD) in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, operations research, or equivalent self study and experience • 3+ years of industry experience building ML infrastructure or using machine learning to solve real-world problems with large datasets • Deep expertise building, scaling, and managing ML infrastructure for training and/or serving in production • Strong understanding of modern machine learning systems and MLOps • Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go • Expertise with SQL, Spark, and Pandas • Expertise with Torch, TensorFlow, and XGBoost • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across all levels • Willingness to work in new and unfamiliar domains, languages, and problem areas
