📋 Description

• Lead the overall technical strategy of the Cash App Banking server engineering team • Collaborate across teams and disciplines on technical strategy • Drive cross-cutting architectural decisions and infrastructure improvements for robust, scalable systems • Foster the growth of aspiring engineers and expand their scope of influence • Partner with product managers, designers, engineers, and business leads to develop, communicate, and execute technical strategies • Influence organizational and company leaders to drive consistent, sound, and efficient technical decisions • Contribute directly to technical designs and code • Maintain high engineering standards • Coach and mentor teammates to grow their technical breadth and depth • Apply an AI-first mindset and raise the bar for AI application across the team

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of software development or equivalent experience • 3+ years of experience leading large scale features, including planning, managing, and executing project delivery while maintaining a high quality bar • Experience identifying, aligning, and landing globally optimal solutions in systems with many moving parts • Ability to design and build creative solutions to complex problems • Strong track record helping other engineers grow • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience • Java and Kotlin • AWS • HTTP, JSON, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers • OkHttp, Jetty, JUnit, and Guice • Hibernate, Aurora, MySQL, DynamoDB, and Redis • Kafka, event-driven architecture, and microservices • DataDog • Buildkite and Gradle
