• Support the launch and ongoing growth of Ionis’s first wholly owned commercial product in the assigned territory as its indication expands from FCS to severe hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG) • Engage key customers and accounts, identify opportunities to improve patient care, and build partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem • Build, maintain, and leverage local healthcare networks and relationships • Develop and execute effective business plans and customer-focused territory strategic account plans • Educate healthcare professionals and office staff about SHTG, diagnostic pathways, and treatment • Provide value-added resources and HCP/patient support materials and programs • Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings • Gather market insights, profile accounts, and inform sales and marketing strategy • Understand local referral networks and identify, validate, and document HCPs treating SHTG patients • Develop focused tactics for endocrinologists, cardiologists, targeted PCPs, and other relevant specialties • Collaborate with field, brand, marketing, operations, analytics, and other cross-functional partners • Share customer-engagement learnings with field team members and leadership • Use available platforms and technology to compliantly engage customers through multiple channels • Partner on accounts involving patients seen by multiple specialties and geographies • Operate in compliance with Ionis’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record compliant with company standards • Bachelor’s Degree • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales • Experience with new product launches • Experience with account-based selling • HCP and IDN engagement experience • Cross-functional field team coordination experience • Prior experience independently managing a sales territory • Background in cardiology, endocrinology, or other subspecialties treating FCS patients • Injectable experience preferred • Familiarity with cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases, including severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG) • Established relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts • Ability to analyze market data and develop territory strategies • Record of navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs • Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to addressing patient needs • Compliance with Ionis mission, vision, policies, procedures, and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
