• Support the launch and ongoing growth of Ionis’s first wholly owned commercial product in the assigned territory as its indication expands from familial chylomicronemia syndrome to severe hypertriglyceridemia. • Engage key customers and accounts, identify opportunities to improve patient care, and build partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem. • Build, maintain, and leverage local healthcare-system networks to develop and execute business plans meeting customer and Ionis goals. • Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on severe hypertriglyceridemia, diagnostic pathways, and appropriate treatment. • Provide value-added resources and healthcare professional/patient support materials and programs. • Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings. • Gather account insights and provide feedback to field leadership and marketing. • Understand local referral networks and identify, validate, and document healthcare professionals treating severe hypertriglyceridemia patients. • Execute brand strategic plans and develop customer-focused territory account plans. • Develop tactics and strategies for endocrinologists, cardiologists, targeted primary care providers, and other relevant subspecialties. • Develop strategic account plans with field and brand leadership. • Participate in field meetings and training programs; complete label and compliance certification. • Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to address customer needs and maintain compliant patient and customer experiences. • Share customer-engagement learnings with field team members and leadership. • Use available platforms and technology to engage customers through multiple channels. • Partner on accounts involving patients seen by multiple specialties across geographies.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record compliant with company standards • Bachelor’s Degree • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales • Experience in new product launches • Experience with account-based selling • Healthcare professional and integrated delivery network engagement experience • Cross-functional field team coordination experience • Prior experience independently managing a sales territory • Background in cardiology, endocrinology, or other subspecialties treating familial chylomicronemia syndrome patients • Familiarity with cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases such as severe hypertriglyceridemia • Established relationships with key opinion leaders and major accounts • Ability to analyze market data and develop territory strategies • Record of navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs • Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to addressing patient needs • Injectable experience preferred
