📋 Description

• Lead the US PR programme and build relationships with business, technology and trade media across accounting, payroll and HR • Create proactive stories, data-led angles and reactive commentary to grow IRIS’ visibility and share of voice • Align PR activity with IRIS’ AEO and AI visibility strategy • Partner with Accounting, Payroll and HR leaders to identify newsworthy product, customer and market stories • Build US executive visibility through bylines, commentary, speaking opportunities, awards and media interviews • Prepare spokespeople with briefings, messaging and coaching • Support crisis communications, monitoring, rapid-response planning, holding statements and reactive media handling • Maintain consistency with IRIS’ brand narrative, messaging framework and tone of voice • Manage US PR agency partners, including priorities, briefings, output reviews and accountability • Support relationships with industry analysts, associations and influential voices • Track and report coverage volume and quality, share of voice, message pull-through and spokesperson visibility • Collaborate with Communications, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, sector leaders, legal, security and US agency partners

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in PR, media relations or corporate communications • Ideally in-house or agency-side experience supporting B2B technology, SaaS or professional services • Strong knowledge of the US media landscape • Proven relationships with, or ability to quickly build relationships with, trade, business and technology journalists • Demonstrable experience securing high-quality earned coverage and growing share of voice • Ability to turn complex or technical subjects, including AI, into clear, credible, jargon-free stories • Experience supporting crisis and issues communications • Excellent writing and editing skills • Familiarity with accounting, payroll and/or HR sectors, or ability to get up to speed quickly in specialist B2B markets • Experience managing PR agencies or external partners • Strong cross-functional and stakeholder skills • Comfort with PR measurement, media monitoring and reporting tools • Experience in a PE-backed, high-growth or fast-moving B2B environment is an advantage • Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the role is based or disclose sponsorship requirements
