📋 Description

• Work with Nagios IT infrastructure monitoring • Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of customer IT systems • Manage IT system infrastructure and maintenance, including patching and upgrades • Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution • Provide second-level problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution • Perform systems administration for Windows and Linux operating systems • Provide Tier 3 support for Windows and Linux systems • Maintain storage allocation, backup, recovery, and replication procedures • Support systems platform migration • Track vendor maintenance and support agreements • Provision user IDs for production and database servers • Create and maintain standard operating procedures for production and DR database platforms • Analyze user interfaces, software performance tuning, workloads, proposed system upgrades, and COTS product insertions • Analyze security impacts of proposed infrastructure upgrades and changes • Coordinate configuration changes, installations, and upgrades with application owners • Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience supporting Linux and Windows Operating Systems • Nagios experience • U.S. citizenship required • Must be able to pass a Federal background investigation • Must be able to support an on-call schedule • Aptitude to learn new tools and technologies • Experience with UNIX/Linux/Windows system administration at command-line level • Experience with PowerShell and scripting, including Python, JSON, and Ruby/BASH • Experience supporting Java application services with F5 load balancers, external web service calls, proxy gateways, JDBC, and JMS/MQ • Experience with PowerShell, JSON, Python, Terraform, Ansible, Java, Bash, YAML, Cloud Formation, or AWS CLI • Experience with cloud migration, automation, and DevOps tools including Ansible, Jenkins, Maven, Ant, SonarQube, Nexus, Jira, Confluence, Crucible/Fisheye, Git/GitHub, Subversion, Packer, and Terraform • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Azure, including migration, deployments, automation, stack and containerized environments, and major cloud services • Knowledge of networking, image management, compute, storage, monitoring, and application services • Experience with LDAP security registry and SSO using SPNEGO and SAML • Advanced troubleshooting skills, including log and trace analysis, service requests, documentation, vendor collaboration, and problem resolution • Ability to coordinate configuration changes, installations, and upgrades while following change-control procedures • Ability to create support documentation and written procedures • Familiarity with cloud security frameworks • Ability to function in a general office environment
