📋 Description

• Lead and scale multiple engineering teams or a large, multi-disciplinary pod building agentic and AI-enabled product experiences • Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science leadership to define the technical roadmap and prioritize initiatives • Translate AI capabilities into scalable, user-facing experiences • Drive the technical architecture and design of agent workflows, orchestration logic, and application integrations • Establish standards for reliable, observable, secure, enterprise-scale AI-powered features • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives while balancing product delivery with long-term technical direction • Champion engineering practices for code quality, system resilience, testing, and iterative delivery • Coach, mentor, and sponsor senior engineers, technical leads, and potentially engineering managers • Collaborate with principal engineers, data teams, and platform architecture groups on interfaces and dependencies • Drive hiring, headcount planning, and onboarding strategies as the AI engineering organization scales

🎯 Requirements

• At least 8+ years of hands-on software development experience • At least 5+ years of experience managing, scaling, and leading software engineering teams • Strong application or platform engineering background • Proven track record scaling systems in a SaaS environment • Experience integrating complex AI or ML capabilities into production systems • Expertise aligning product, platform, and data science teams • Technical judgment across system design, APIs, distributed systems, and developer workflows • Experience overseeing engineering work across modern backend and frontend stacks • Ability to define strategic direction, make pragmatic trade-offs, and drive execution across concurrent initiatives • Excellent executive communication skills • Bonus: experience managing engineering managers or multiple autonomous squads • Bonus: experience with agentic, LLM-powered, or generative AI product experiences • Bonus: familiarity with Mastra, LangChain, or similar orchestration tools • Bonus: leadership experience with decisioning engines, rules engines, or real-time personalization systems • Bonus: collaboration with Data Science and ML teams on production integrations and model deployment pipelines • Bonus: marketing technology or customer engagement platform background • Bonus: experience scaling engineering teams and systems in remote-first or distributed environments
