📋 Description

• Design, fabricate, and integrate electrical systems for data center power and cooling products and factory enablement projects • Perform full-stack electrical design from generator systems to AI rack integration zones • Manage and oversee electrical systems for data centers, energy storage systems, and HVAC applications • Develop specifications, select components, route wires and cables, establish connections, and transition designs to manufacturing • Lead test process implementation and ensure equipment alignment for operational excellence and reliability • Conduct PLD design, component selection, wire and cable sizing and routing, and connections • Review vendor drawings and prepare BOMs, calculations, data sheets, detailed drawings, specifications, and test plans • Interpret single-line and schematic diagrams, evaluate electrical system operations, and recommend modifications • Collaborate on new product design and development of low-voltage switchgear, power distribution cabinets, and LV panel boards • Lead electrical engineering design and reviews • Test products to current codes and standards and translate designs into manufacturing drawings • Prepare and review short-circuit coordination studies and maintain software models to match as-built site conditions • Review control panel designs and UL standards • Evaluate and close gaps between concept and manufacturing readiness • Interface with internal and external design engineering, server hardware, environmental health and safety, and controls engineering teams • Work with system architects to understand product specifications and electrical system architectures • Collaborate with project managers on design quotations • Identify and mitigate project risks affecting plans and schedules • Monitor product delivery for quality and schedule adherence • Test, debug, and validate electrical systems and support manufacturing processes • Manage relationships with electrical component vendors and contract manufacturers • Keep current with technologies and methods for competitive, cost-effective designs • Propose potential R&D project ideas with the manager • Assess engineering feasibility and cost-effectiveness with management and production staff • Undertake other assigned duties and responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline • 8+ years of experience in electrical design and fabrication, with a focus on data center or industrial power systems • Proficiency in ECAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical) and integration with mechanical CAD platforms • Strong understanding of MV/HV power distribution, lithium-ion UPS systems, and three-phase electrical infrastructure • Experience with electrical analysis tools (ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower) • Proven experience in facility-level electrical design and construction support • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight as part of a global team • Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations • Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural guides • Effective at presenting information and responding to management, clients, and public queries • Ability to influence others, share best practices, and mentor less experienced engineers • Capability to assess projects, articulate risks, and develop project milestones • Familiarity with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management (PLCM) • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering • Preferred: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license • Preferred: Experience with data center infrastructure, including UPS systems, switchgear, CRAC units, and PDUs • Preferred: Familiarity with UL, CE, RoHS, REACH, and IEEE compliance standards • Preferred: Hands-on experience with panel fabrication, wiring, and system integration • Preferred: Knowledge of thermal and mechanical constraints in electrical enclosure design and experience with global suppliers and contract manufacturers • Preferred: Experience in WindChill and DevOps
