📋 Description

• Provide early-stage customer and opportunity engagement support to shape requirements, influence solution development, and improve win probability • Evaluate emerging technologies in power distribution, battery systems, HVAC, and liquid cooling for industry-standard compliance • Develop manufacturable, scalable power and cooling solutions for data center clients • Align infrastructure capabilities with evolving compute and storage requirements • Analyze thermal and electrical performance data to optimize energy efficiency and system reliability • Design custom IT racks with integrated liquid cooling, sensors, flow meters, and leak detection systems • Participate in infrastructure projects from RFP through mass production, including vendor selection, testing, and commissioning • Create CAD models, technical drawings, and BOMs for manufacturing and assembly • Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of deployed systems • Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, best practices, and operational procedures • Support root cause analysis and remediation of infrastructure-related incidents • Design and architect end-to-end data center infrastructure solutions • Lead evaluation and selection of hardware, software, and networking technologies • Develop infrastructure architecture documentation, diagrams, specifications, and implementation plans • Collaborate with engineers, system administrators, cloud architects, security teams, project managers, and stakeholders • Ensure designs align with best practices for performance, scalability, availability, and disaster recovery • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends • Ensure compatibility and integration of liquid cooling systems for high-performance applications • Evaluate components including cooling plates, Coolant Distribution Units, pumps, valves, fittings, and thermal interface materials • Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Thermal Engineering is required • 8+ years of experience in data center infrastructure engineering, with a focus on IT, power and/or cooling system technologies • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems (UPS, PDUs, switchgear, busway) and mechanical systems (CDU’s, Fluid Networks, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, cooling towers) • Experience with liquid cooling technologies (direct-to-chip, immersion) • Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy efficiency metrics (PUE, WUE) • Experience with containerization technologies • Knowledge of data center energy efficiency and sustainability practices • Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations • Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural guides • Effective at presenting information and responding to management, clients, and public queries • Capable of assessing projects, articulating risks, and developing project milestones • Familiar with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management (PLCM) • Able to mentor less experienced engineers and travel up to 30% as needed • Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, CFD modeling, thermal simulations, energy modeling tools, ASHRAE/IEEE/Uptime Institute standards, enterprise-scale data center solutions, cloud platforms and hybrid cloud architectures, PE license, project management experience or certification, and subsystem design and implementation experience
