• Develop and continuously evolve a Total Rewards approach aligned with business strategy, culture, talent needs, and financial priorities • Build and maintain compensation infrastructure, including job architecture, salary grades, market-based ranges, leveling guidelines, and career ladder and lattice frameworks • Establish compensation governance for job evaluation, benchmarking, offers, promotions, equity reviews, salary adjustments, and range maintenance • Lead compensation benchmarking and market analysis and provide data-informed recommendations • Support annual compensation processes, including merit planning and approved pay programs • Evaluate compensation costs, pay positioning, internal equity, and business impact with Finance and leadership • Administer health, welfare, retirement, and related benefit programs • Lead benefits renewal and open enrollment, including evaluation, implementation, communications, education, system configuration, and follow-through • Partner with brokers, carriers, administrators, vendors, Finance, and internal stakeholders on benefit plans and issue resolution • Administer work-life and wellbeing programs for a fully remote environment • Manage leaves of absence and workplace accommodation processes through return to work • Design and maintain employee recognition practices • Build career development frameworks and support development planning, internal mobility, succession, and talent discussions • Strengthen employee experience across the employee lifecycle • Serve as a day-to-day HR partner to managers on employee relations, performance, policy, organizational changes, and people decisions • Manage employee relations matters, investigations, risk assessment, documentation, and recommended actions • Administer and improve performance management practices • Coach managers on people leadership, difficult conversations, documentation, accountability, and consistent practices • Develop and facilitate HR and manager training and create manager-facing resources • Support onboarding and offboarding practices • Serve as a payroll backup and support accurate, timely, compliant payroll processes • Establish scalable HR processes, controls, workflows, documentation, and service standards • Support HR technology, benefits, payroll, and People-system implementations or transitions • Manage and evaluate external HR vendors and partners • Maintain employee records and People data and use HR metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities • Stay current on employment laws and implement approved updates to programs, policies, processes, and guidance • Partner closely with the Director, People & Culture and assume other People & Culture responsibilities as needed
• 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with meaningful depth in Total Rewards and broad hands-on experience across multiple HR disciplines • Experience designing, implementing, and administering compensation programs, including market benchmarking, salary structures, grades and ranges, job evaluation, and internal equity analysis • Experience building or materially evolving job architecture, career levels, career ladders, lattices, or comparable career development frameworks • Strong benefits experience, including plan administration, renewals, open enrollment, vendor or broker partnership, employee communications, and compliance considerations • Experience managing leaves of absence and workplace accommodations • Strong employee relations and performance management experience, including manager coaching, investigations, documentation, and performance improvement • Experience operating as an HR business partner or HR Manager • Experience developing and facilitating practical manager or employee training and enablement resources • Working knowledge of payroll processes and ability to serve as an effective payroll backup • Experience building, implementing, or scaling HR programs and processes in an evolving organization • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and multi-state HR compliance • Strong analytical capability interpreting compensation, benefits, workforce, and program data • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • High degree of judgment, discretion, empathy, and comfort handling confidential information • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple complex workstreams • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience • Reliable high-speed internet access • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship • Preferred: experience in a small or mid-sized high-growth organization; fully remote workforce; HRIS, payroll, benefits, or compensation technology implementations; HR vendor partnerships; retirement plan administration; professional HR or Total Rewards certification; SaaS, technology, professional services, or multi-state knowledge-worker experience
