• Research market compensation, identify comparable positions, document sources and assumptions, and prepare salary comparisons and draft recommendations • Gather and compare benefits information and assist with benefits-related questions and communications • Develop role descriptions covering responsibilities, qualifications, reporting relationships, and measures of success • Prepare and update employee handbooks and policy drafts, organize client input, maintain version control, and coordinate implementation • Develop career progression materials, employee development plans, and manager tools • Prepare performance review forms and manager resources and support review processes • Respond to client HR questions and prepare practical responses or recommended next steps • Support routine employee relations matters and escalate sensitive or complex situations • Develop reusable HR templates, tools, checklists, and processes; use AI thoughtfully while maintaining confidentiality • Prepare onboarding, offboarding, and employee communication materials • Maintain action plans, meeting notes, deadlines, and deliverables; coordinate clients and teammates • Provide recruiting backup through sourcing, résumé review, screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, and applicant tracking • Progressively support smaller fractional HR engagements, including client meetings, HR action plans, deliverables, and follow-up • Work under the direction and coaching of the Head of People and Culture, with increasing independence
• 3–5 years of HR experience, with hands-on experience across compensation, benefits, employee policies and handbooks, performance management, employee relations, and recruiting • Consulting mindset and ability to work with multiple clients simultaneously • Strong judgment and discernment • Strong relationship-building skills • Business acumen and understanding of how people decisions connect to organizational structure, capacity, growth, leadership, and business performance • Comfort with ambiguity and problem-solving • Clear, confident written and verbal communication • Strong organization and attention to detail • Initiative and self-management • Ability to take feedback and direction well and continue learning • Discretion with confidential information • Experience with Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams • Experience using AI tools for thinking, research, drafting, presentations, recommendations, templates, and efficiency • Energy, adaptability, curiosity, and genuine interest in people • Preferred: experience with Salesforce; supporting small businesses, professional services organizations, or financial advisory practices; and working directly with business owners or leaders in an advisory or consultative capacity • HR certifications are welcome but not required
