📋 Description

• Install, service, and repair JBT Marel-sold equipment at customer sites • Perform technical controls, electrical, and mechanical work • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and make software repairs or recommendations • Follow JBT Marel safety policies and procedures • Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical and mechanical CAD drawings, P&IDs, and flow schemes • Prepare and submit weekly inspection, service, timesheet, and expense reports • Recommend equipment modifications and advise clients on replacement part orders • Consult with engineering to resolve unusual system operation and maintenance problems • Interact with customers regarding commissioning status • Supervise and train customer or employee personnel in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment • Create functional HMI screens • Write and modify PC or PLC programs controlling industrial food processing equipment • Document changes, updates, work procedures, and revision control • Support engineering-related questions and provide remote support to Field Service Engineers • Perform maintenance and setup work on JBT Marel products • Set up and adjust machines in the field to equipment specifications • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical machinery components • Perform machine audits, repairs, and preventive scheduled maintenance • Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, and reassemble machines • Identify and articulate root-cause problem statements

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in control systems applications such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Beckhoff • 3-5 years of experience reading electrical schematics • Solid mechanical knowledge with blueprint reading ability • Strong proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC hardware: ControlLogix and CompactLogix • Strong proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC software: Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000, and RSLogix 500 • Proficiency in Beckhoff Automation controls platforms • Experience with EtherNet/IP networking protocols and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) • Computer skills, including laptop and smartphone use, Outlook, Word, and Excel • Travel including nights and weekends, fluctuating due to business needs and priorities • Up to 90% travel required, including some international travel • Occasionally lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs • Squatting, prolonged standing, and working at various heights • Two-year technical school training or related bachelor’s degree preferred • Manufacturing experience in the food and beverage industry preferred
