JHU EEHPC is the Energy Efficient High Performance Computing Lab at Johns Hopkins University, led by Tinoosh Mohsenin. The lab focuses on designing medical, health, and wearable devices and developing tiny, energy-efficient wearable and mobile computing systems through cross-layer approaches spanning algorithms, architecture, hardware, and system integration. It applies high-performance computing and artificial intelligence methods to smart health monitoring, robotics, autonomous navigation, and related domains, aiming to revolutionize healthcare, transportation, and public utilities.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with the project PI and communicate regularly regarding project status • Serve as a statistical consultant to the project PI • Synthesize, analyze, and interpret quantitative data • Conduct scholarly literature searches and reviews of prior research for evaluation projects and papers • Prepare and write detailed client reports compiling and summarizing findings • Make recommendations for program improvements, policies, and follow-up research • Participate with the team and clients in planning follow-up studies • Participate in dissemination of results from completed studies • Work across multiple studies on an as-needed basis to supplement senior-level project management and research work by CRRE staff • Participate in evaluation studies involving mixed-methods data collection and provide expertise in advanced statistical methods

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s Degree in statistics or from an education program with a strong emphasis in statistics • Six years’ experience as a quantitative researcher on applied research projects • Additional education may substitute for required experience under the JHU equivalency formula • Additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent • Pre-employment background check • Preferred: PhD in Statistics or from an education program with a strong emphasis in statistics and quantitative research methods • Preferred: Five plus years’ experience as lead quantitative education researcher • Preferred: Previous experience, knowledge, and skills in applied statistics, particularly hierarchical linear modeling and multivariate analyses
