📋 Description

• Serve as day-to-day counsel to HOA and COA boards across Florida • Provide guidance on governance, budgeting, reserves, and operational decision-making • Deliver practical legal advice on regulatory and compliance matters • Draft, review, and amend governing documents, including Declarations, Bylaws, and Rules • Support developer turnover and assist in structuring community associations • Conduct document audits and recommend updates to align with current law • Stay current on Florida community association law and regulatory changes • Translate legal updates into actionable client guidance • Help associations maintain statutory and regulatory compliance • Assist with covenant enforcement matters and pre-litigation processes • Support litigation efforts, including drafting demands, pleadings, and motions • Guide assessment collection strategies alongside the firm’s collections team

🎯 Requirements

• Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar • 2–5 years of legal experience, with exposure to community association law, real estate, or litigation • Strong drafting skills across legal documents, contracts, and/or litigation materials • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, structured guidance • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through • Professional, direct communication style with clients and colleagues • Experience with Florida community association law, transactional or litigation preferred • Familiarity with developer turnover, governance structuring, or document amendments preferred • Exposure to covenant enforcement, collections, or related litigation preferred • Involvement with Community Associations Institute (CAI) or interest in participation preferred
