• Perform a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures • Acquire and analyze data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner • Independently perform or assist licensed practitioners with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures • Ensure correct orders, patient identification and preparation, corroborated clinical history, and appropriate documentation • Apply imaging protocols and optimize technical factors while maximizing patient safety and care using ALARA principles • Prepare and administer medications through vascular access sites as prescribed • Evaluate images for positioning and technical quality • Verify archival storage, data transfer, and post-processing when applicable • Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers • Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures • Perform diagnostic radiographic and noninterpretive fluoroscopic procedures in and outside the Radiology Department, including operating rooms, Endoscopy, and ICU • Comply with federal and state laws, regulations, and organizational policies
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required) • Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred) • Basic Life Support Certification • Radiography (R) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) • New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months of the date of hire • Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps required for advancing to level 2 within 24 months • Minimum of 1 year related work experience (Preferred) • Knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures • Ability to administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes • Ability to prepare, administer, and document medications and radiation exposure in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policy • Ability to work in a clinical environment • Compliance with organization policies and procedures
