📋 Description

• Manage strategic relationships with 3PLs, brokers, carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers • Establish and monitor transportation performance measures, including freight spend, on-time delivery, claims, accessories, and provider performance • Conduct business and shipment-level reviews to identify cost, service, and process issues and drive corrective action • Partner with business units to improve transportation performance and operating practices • Develop and maintain enterprise transportation policies, standards, reporting, and governance practices • Negotiate transportation rates, contracts, service levels, and commercial terms • Identify and implement transportation cost-reduction opportunities through network optimization, consolidation, mode selection, provider performance, and improved operating practices • Lead competitive transportation analysis and periodic RFP activity • Evaluate transportation provider and network alternatives • Serve as the enterprise escalation point for significant transportation cost, service, or provider issues • Oversee international logistics provider performance and support international and intercompany transportation requirements • Maintain working knowledge of international shipping documentation, HTS classification, and import/export processes • Lead transportation-related projects, provider changes, and process improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field preferred • 7+ years of progressive transportation, logistics, supply chain, or 3PL experience • Experience managing complex, multi-site, or decentralized transportation environments • Experience managing strategic logistics-provider relationships, including service expectations, KPIs, business reviews, escalations, commercial negotiations, performance accountability, and continuous improvement • Success reducing freight costs, improving on-time delivery, negotiating transportation agreements, and improving provider performance • Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and problem-solving skills • Working knowledge of international transportation, import/export documentation, HTS codes, and intercompany shipments • Strong communication and relationship-management skills • Ability to influence across business units and external partners • Ability to operate in a decentralized and evolving environment and establish structure • Strong Excel, reporting, transportation, and ERP systems experience
