• Run Kairos’s hiring rounds end to end, including application review, work tests, interviews, reference checks, work trials, and offers • Source candidates through Kairos’s programs, network, and the broader AI safety ecosystem • Design and refine applications, work tests, interview questions, and candidate tracking systems • Evaluate how AI is changing applications and improve hiring processes accordingly • Help scope new roles and contribute to organizational design decisions • Support hiring for Kairos Labs and the organizations it incubates • Collaborate with AI safety researchers, policy professionals, funders, and organizers
• Ideally have run hiring processes before, as a recruiter or in a role where hiring was a major responsibility • Strong judgment about people and comfort making decisions under uncertainty • Good interpersonal skills and ability to create an engaging candidate experience • Organized and reliable while managing 5–10 hiring rounds simultaneously • Deep commitment to reducing risks from advanced AI • Sufficient context on the AI safety ecosystem to recognize promising candidates and understand role requirements • Preferably able to attend meetings in the ET time zone • Ability to start within a couple of months of applying is generally expected • Availability for remote work with travel 3–6 times per year, predominantly in the US
